Bengaluru, Silicon Valley is known by a large number of educational institutions that offer a wide range of

professional courses. Several institutes offer courses in law. However, increasing crime rates, disputes, and

cybercrimes indicate the need for a more robust legal force to address the increasing number of such cases in

courts. Keeping this in mind, the Rashtreeya Sikshana Samithi Trust (RSST) established the RV Institute of Legal

Studies (RVILS) in 2018, with a new dimension and a unique approach towards legal education. RV Institute of Legal

Studies was renamed as M K Panduranga Setty Memorial RV Institute of Legal Studies (MKPM RVILS) in honour of Dr.

M.K. Panduranga Setty, President of Emiratus, RSST. MKPM RVILS is affiliated with Karnataka State Law University,

Hubballi, and has been approved by the Bar Council of India, New Delhi. MKPM RVILS offers B.A.LL. B. and B.B.A.LL.B.,

5-Year Integrated Degree Courses since its inception and B. Com LL. B Five Years Integrated Degree Course and 3

years LL.B degree Course from Academic year 2025-26. As an institution endeavour to produce many legal

luminaries in our forthcoming batches, thereby contributing to the profession in itself and society at large. As an

institution, we strive to provide quality legal education to students in all sections of society without

discrimination. Being a nascent institution, RVILS has surged progressively by motivating students to participate in

various activities such as International, National, and State-level moot court competitions, Trial advocacy, ADR

competitions, Model UN, and Mock Parliament competitions. MKPM RVILS has provided a platform for expressing

and exploring original ideas and interpretations on contemporary legal issues by publishing Peer-reviewed bi-

annual RV LAW JOURNAL with ISSN and organizing the Nyaya Darpana Lecture Series
