Erin Merkley creator and organizer of NOCO Dance Intensive, a program designed to give dedicated young dancers in the Northern Colorado/Denver area a high-level training experience without requiring them to leave the region.

She started dancing at a young age and has pursued her passion for dance through both training and teaching. Her motivation in creating the intensive was to bridge the gap between studio training and professional opportunities, helping local dancers grow technically and artistically while preparing them for future steps in their dance journeys.

Erin describes her vision for the intensive as creating an inspiring and supportive environment where dancers feel challenged, seen, and equipped for their next steps—whether that’s advancing in training, entering pre-professional programs, or pursuing a dance career.
Under her leadership, the intensive brings in renowned guest artists and educators from across the country, offers diverse classes across multiple dance styles, and includes educational components like industry talks and on-set experiences.
