The Drexel University Global China Connections (GCC) Lunar New Year Showcase is one of the largest cultural events on campus, welcoming over 300 students each year.
Why should you sponsor?
The Lunar New Year Showcase allows sponsors to align with an event that celebrates culture, creativity, and connection while fostering a welcoming space where international students can feel at home. The event attracts a highly engaged, multicultural audience of 300+ attendees, primarily college students and Gen Z young adults (ages 18–25)from Drexel University, the University of Pennsylvania, and Temple University, along with alumni, high school students, and members of the greater Philadelphia community. With a strong representation of Asian and international students, as well as culturally curious domestic students, sponsors gain meaningful exposure to a diverse, socially engaged audience while supporting cultural inclusion and community building.

One of our longest-standing traditions is hosting our annual Lunar New Year Showcase, one of the largest cultural events on campus, welcoming 300+ students each year. The Lunar New Year celebration plays an integral role in Drexel’s community by celebrating culture, creativity, and connection through live performances, music, and student engagement, while also creating a warm space where international students can feel at home.
